Each homework set is worth 10 points. Homework will usually be collected on Tuesdays and Fridays in class (exceptions will be noted on this page). No late homework is accepted for any reason. Staple each homework set. The problems listed on this page are to be turned in. If you do only these problems you will not have mastered the ideas and techniques presented in that particular section. It is your responsibility to do other problems in each section covered to insure mastery of the material.
· Acknowledge your sources (people and texts).
· In nontrivial problems, show how you get your answers.
· Turn in neat, well-written solutions, not messy first drafts. Trim "fringes." Staple pages.
· Do not copy collaborative solutions; write up solutions in your own words.
· Turn in homework on time. Late homework will not be graded.
· Assert equalities. Do not just list expressions; tell what they are equal to.
· Keep equations balanced. Do not change just one side of an equation, thus making the assertion of equality false.
· These last two are corollaries of the general rule: Say the right thing, and say it right.
This page is subject to change during the course of the semester.
