Description

The St. Olaf Classics Department presents a comedic work by Sophocles, a dramatist famous for his tragedies. It is a Saytr Play which is a type of comedy featuring a chorus of satyrs. In ancient Athens, it would be shown follow the presentation of the day's tragic dramas at the dramatic festival that celebrated the god Dionysus. This will be the fourth performance of the day and the eighth overall by St. Olaf Classics Department on a two day performance schedule at different locations across MN. Come enjoy this rare dramatic treat AND celebrate this mighty endeavor by our fellow MN liberal arts students and faculty!
